The incident occurred around noon when the vigilantes, riding a motorcycle, were hit by the truck, resulting in severe head injuries. Witnesses reported that the victims, one identified as Mustapha, died on the spot, and their remains were deposited in a morgue in Benin City. The police have confirmed the arrest of the truck driver, and investigations are underway to determine the circumstances of the accident.
