A devastating fire broke out in the early hours of Sunday, October 13, at a popular lounge and bar located on Baale Road in the Olodi Apapa area of Lagos. The fire, which started around 7:45 am, claimed the lives of at least four staff members, who were burnt beyond recognition in the tragic incident.
Lagos State Police spokesperson, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, confirmed the incident, stating that the victims‘ remains have been evacuated to the Infectious Disease Hospital (IDH) Morgue in Yaba for an autopsy. The police, alongside emergency responders, were on the scene to contain the fire and ensure the area was secure.
