Nigerian music star Tiwa Savage has publicly called out a social media influencer she accused of persistently targeting and harassing her online.

In a strongly worded post on X on Tuesday, the award-winning singer alleged that the influencer, identified as TheDamiForeign, had been running what she described as a long-standing campaign aimed at tarnishing her image. Tiwa said she had largely ignored the attacks until the influencer allegedly crossed a red line by involving her son.

Expressing her anger, the Somebody’s Son crooner stated that while she had tolerated repeated online commentary about her personal life, dragging her child into the controversy was unacceptable. She also accused the influencer of once posting content suggesting he wanted her to die young, a claim that further fuelled her outrage.

Following Tiwa Savage’s post, the influencer appeared to dismiss the allegations, responding on his own X page with a sarcastic comment and a meme suggesting surprise at being confronted by the singer.

The influencer has, over time, been known for making frequent posts about Tiwa Savage, often commenting on her age, appearance, and marital status. Some of these posts praised her looks, while others were more critical or provocative, including remarks referencing her past personal controversies.

Despite the history of mixed commentary, the recent exchange has sparked debate online, with fans and observers divided over the issue. While many have supported Tiwa Savage’s decision to speak out, others have noted that the influencer had previously expressed admiration for her and urged the singer to ignore him and move on.

The incident has once again highlighted the growing tension between celebrities and online commentators in Nigeria’s digital space.
