President Bola Tinubu has promised to support the growth and development of Nigeria’s children at the launch of the book “The Power of a Teenager: 50 Ways to Inspire Ce”.

The book was written by Hon. Bamidele Salam, who chairs the Public Accounts Committee in the House of Representatives and founded the Children of Africa Leadership and Values Development Initiative (CALDEV).

At the event, Tinubu praised Salam’s work and urged those present to back efforts that shape young minds. “You may not fully understand the impact of what you are receiving now, but tomorrow you will see what Hon. Bamidele Salam has done in your lives,” he said.

The president asked everyone to commit personally to guiding Nigeria’s youth. He noted that while Salam funded the project, mentoring and training young people is a wider task that requires many hands.

Vice President Kashim Shettima called the launch a clear sign of the promise in Nigerian children. “This initiative speaks directly to the leaders of tomorrow,” he said.

Chief of Staff to the President, Femi Gbajabiamila, also praised Salam and the book’s role in guiding youth. “Nigerian children are the future of this nation. Even though they are young, we are looking to them to take this country to where it should be,” he said. He added, “Leadership may be inborn or thrust upon you, but there must be someone to guide you. That is what this book is doing it provides the guidance our young people need.”

The launch drew officials and educators who say the book and the initiative fit with wider aims to train young leaders and to promote strong values among students.
