Tinubu Blamed for PDP’s Internal Crisis – Segun Sowunmi

Segun Sowunmi, a of the Democratic Party (PDP) and former spokesperson for Atiku , has identified as the primary cause of the party’s internal challenges.

Speaking on Channels TV’s Today, Sowunmi Tinubu for appointing Wike as of the Federal Capital Territory () without consulting PDP elders. According to him, this the party’s and contributed to its instability.

He further compared Tinubu’s actions to former President Olusegun Obasanjo’s approach, noting that Obasanjo consulted party elders when forming a of national .

“When Obasanjo wanted to a government of national unity, he wrote to the elders of the party, but what did Tinubu do? He took one of us and put him in a strategic position, and suddenly the whole thing is complicated,” he said.

Sowunmi emphasized his stance clearly, expressing that the PDP would regain its footing if Wike were removed from the federal cabinet and returned to the party.

“If he wants everything to be okay, sack Wike and return him back to PDP and see if the party will not have stamina and move fast. My position is very clear; I’m not speaking ; I explained it and justified it,” he concluded.
