Real Madrid are reportedly preparing a summer approach for Manchester City midfielder Rodri as they look to strengthen the heart of their squad ahead of next season.
The 29-year-old has been linked with a return to Spain in recent months, and reports suggest Los Blancos view the Spanish international as the ideal solution to their midfield concerns. With experience, composure and tactical intelligence, Rodri is widely regarded as one of the best holding midfielders in world football.
Since joining City in a €70 million deal from Atletico Madrid in 2019, Rodri has developed into a key figure under Pep Guardiola, dictating tempo and shielding the defence with consistency. His ability to control games and deliver in big moments has made him indispensable at the Etihad.
However, Real Madrid believe the chance to return to La Liga and represent one of the sport’s most decorated clubs could appeal to the midfielder. The Spanish giants are keen to refresh their midfield options, having struggled to fully replace stalwarts such as Casemiro, Luka Modric and Toni Kroos.
