President Tinubu Approves Posting of Three Ambassadors-Designate

President Bola Tinubu has approved the posting of three ambassadors-designate from the 68 confirmed by the Senate in December 2025.

According to a statement by Presidential spokesperson Bayo Onanuga on Thursday, Ambassador Ayodele Oke has been designated as Nigeria’s ambassador to France, while Colonel Lateef Are (rtd) will serve as ambassador to the United States.

Also confirmed is Ambassador Amin Dalhatu, former ambassador to South Korea, who has been appointed as Nigeria’s high commissioner to the United Kingdom.

President Tinubu, in a memo to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, instructed the ministry to notify the governments of France, the United States, and the United Kingdom of the appointments, following standard diplomatic protocols.

The postings mark a significant step in Nigeria’s ongoing diplomatic engagements, as the new envoys prepare to represent the country’s interests abroad.
