Peter Obi Confirms 2027 Presidential Run, Rules Out Vice-Presidential Role

Former Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi has officially confirmed his intention to run for president again in the 2027 elections. He made the announcement during a X Spaces session on Sunday night.

Obi was clear that he will not accept a vice-presidential position, emphasizing that his experience and vision are aimed at leading the country as president. “I am not travelling round the world to learn governance to be Vice president,” he stated.

He highlighted his business background and governance experience, saying, “I know how to turn Nigeria around. I built my business from scratch and have more experience than any candidate, including the sitting President.”

Obi concluded by appealing for support and prayers from Nigerians, saying, “Peter Obi will be on the ballot in 2027. I need your support. I need your prayers.”
