Omoyele Sowore has mocked former Attorney General Abubakar Malami while speaking to reporters about justice, accountability, and the Nnamdi Kanu case. He used Malami’s current troubles as an example of the irony of power and its consequences.

In a video, Sowore reminded people that during Malami’s time in office, Sowore himself was arrested and jailed on accusations of trying to overthrow the government. He said those claims were pushed to justify his detention and paint him as an enemy of the state. Sowore suggested this shows how those in power use it to silence critics instead of addressing real problems.

Sowore also mocked Malami by pointing out that although Malami was once accused of plotting against the government, he is now being investigated by the EFCC for alleged financial wrongdoing.

He said, “When he detained me, he went on BBC claiming, ‘Sowore was trying to overthrow the government,’ but now you have overthrown the Naira.”
