The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has officially released the deployment letters for the 2024 Batch ‘C’ Stream II prospective corps members (PCMs). This announcement was made via a statement on X (formerly Twitter) on Monday, where the NYSC also issued several key instructions for the PCMs.

Firstly, NYSC has advised all PCMs to avoid nighttime travel when heading to their assigned orientation camps. This directive is aimed at ensuring the safety of the corps members during their journey.

Additionally, every PCM is required to print and sign an addendum, which must be submitted during the registration process at the orientation camp. This step is part of the administrative procedures to streamline the orientation process.

Due to logistical considerations, the NYSC has made special arrangements for the orientation of some PCMs:

Lagos State: Some PCMs originally deployed to Lagos will undertake their orientation course in Ekiti, Ondo, and Osun States.
Federal Capital Territory (FCT): Similarly, those deployed to the FCT will have their orientation in Nasarawa and Kaduna States.

The statement from NYSC explicitly states:

“2024 Batch ‘C’ Stream Il deployment has been released. PCMs are advised not to travel at night to the Orientation Camp.”
“Prospective Corps Members are advised to print and sign the Addendum, which is to be submitted during registration in the Orientation Camp.”
“Some PCMs deployed to Lagos will have their Orientation Course in Ekiti; Ondo and Osun. Some PCMs deployed to FCT will have their Orientation Course in Nasarawa and Kaduna Camps.”
This deployment and the subsequent arrangements are part of NYSC’s ongoing efforts to manage the logistics of orientation effectively while ensuring the well-being and safety of all corps members.
