The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) has expressed deep concerns over the recent hike in fuel prices, arguing that the increase has effectively nullified the gains of the newly implemented minimum wage. NLC President Joe Ajaero described the situation as dire, highlighting the severe impact the price surge is having on the purchasing power of workers.
Ajaero noted that the rising cost of fuel has led to skyrocketing prices of goods and services, leaving workers unable to enjoy the benefits of their wage increase.
