The Federal Government has asked Nigerians to stay calm as a diplomatic dispute with the United States continues.

The appeal came from the Minister of Information and National Orientation, Alhaji Mohammed Idris, during a courtesy visit to Jigawa State Governor Malam Umar Namadi. A statement by Malam Rabiu Ibrahim, the minister’s media aide, gave the details.

Mr. Idris was in Jigawa to join the North West 2025 Youth Pally and to take part in a presentation on President Bola Tinubu’s two‑year record in office.

He said President Tinubu can protect the country from threats and can repair broken ties with foreign partners. “As such, Nigerians should not panic; please remain calm. President Tinubu has the capacity to amicably resolve the matter,” he said.
