The All Progressives Congress in Lagos has dismissed reports alleging that its delegates were stranded during the party’s convention in Abuja, describing the claims as false and misleading.

In a statement issued on Saturday, the party’s spokesperson, Seye Oladejo, urged the public to ignore the publication, which suggested that Lagos delegates were abandoned due to the non release of mobilisation funds.

Oladejo explained that all duly accredited delegates from Lagos State were transported to Abuja through a well coordinated and organized process. He emphasized that adequate arrangements were made to ensure their comfort throughout the journey.

According to him, upon arrival in Abuja, the delegates were provided with proper accommodation, directly contradicting the allegations that they were left stranded or unattended during the event.

The spokesman further clarified that the Lagos State Government does not finance party activities. He noted that the party independently manages its logistics and funding through its elished internal structures, dismissing any suggestion of government involvement in such matters.

Oladejo also called on members of the public to rely on verified and credible sources of information. He warned against the spread of unverified reports, stressing the importance of responsible media consumption in maintaining public trust.

Reaffirming its position, the Lagos chapter of the APC reiterated its commitment to unity within the party and its continued support for governance initiatives at both the state and national levels.
