The Kaduna State Police Command has successfully recovered two stolen vehicles and detained eight suspects in separate operations, as announced by the command’s spokesperson, Deputy Superintendent of Police Mansir Hassan, on April 29, 2025.

On April 24, 2025, at approximately 2:00 p.m., the command acted on credible intelligence from a victim of an armed robbery that occurred on December 17, 2024, along the Lokoja-Abuja Expressway, where a Peugeot (Fiat) vehicle and N3.25 million were stolen at gunpoint. The victim spotted the vehicle and alerted the police, leading the Officer-in-Charge of the Anti-Kidnapping Unit to mobilize a team to Kujama. There, two suspects, identified as Christian Allemo and Uchenna Ike, both residents of Kujama, were arrested in possession of the vehicle. The suspects claimed they purchased the vehicle from an unknown individual. Both the suspects and the recovered vehicle are currently in police custody, with ongoing investigations to uncover the full details of the case.

In a separate incident on the same day, at around 9:20 p.m., the command’s Control Room received a distress call reporting a stolen Mitsubishi Hilux, taken from Abuja and heading toward the Kawo area of Kaduna. The Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of Kawo swiftly deployed surveillance and patrol teams, who strategically blocked Unguwan Gwari, resulting in the recovery of the stolen vehicle.

DSP Hassan emphasized that the eight suspects detained across these operations are under investigation, and the police are committed to ridding the state of criminal elements. The Kaduna State Police Command, under the leadership of Commissioner of Police Audu Ali, continues to enhance security measures to protect lives and property.
