Ilesa Leaders Endorse Governor Adeleke Following N16.5 Billion Road Projects Completion

Community leaders in Ilesa have endorsed Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke’s re-election bid after the completion of a N16.5 billion dual carriageway and ten township roads. The leaders said the projects have transformed the town improved connectivity boosted economic activity and enhanced overall development.

During an assessment, community representatives including princes, heads of the National Union of Road Transport Workers Ilesa West Council, chairmen of the Amalgamated Commercial Motorcycle Owners and Riders Association of Nigeria, Motorcycle and Tricycle Operators Association of Nigeria, Motorcycle Transport Union of Nigeria and Igbo leaders praised Adeleke’s administration.

Prince Adeyemi Adeniran described the dual carriageway and other roads as transformative, improving economic benefits and reducing accidents. Nze Akudina Obi of the Igbo community highlighted increased business activity along the corridor while Temitope Matthew, Vice Chairman of NURTW Abuja Park, pledged massive support from transport workers.

Osun State Government’s Director of Highways, Engr Moruf Ojebode, stated that the 6.2 kilometer dual carriageway alongside ten township roads was built to stimulate industrial growth, expand business hubs and support small enterprises. He noted that the 20 kilometer improved road network has eased movement, enhanced market access and created a conducive environment for investors and small businesses.
