Governor Uba Sani Commends Federal Government’s Efforts Against Insecurity in North-West Zone

Kaduna State , Uba Sani, has praised the Federal Government for its commitment to addressing the security challenges in the North- Zone through the establishment of the Joint Military Command and the launch of Operation Fansan Yamma. During the courtesy visit, Governor Sani urged the Defence Minister to consider integrating Operation Safe Haven in Southern Kaduna under the jurisdiction of the 1 Division, Kaduna, to strengthen security efforts. He also commended the progress made in setting Operation Safe Corridor in the North-West Zone.

The Governor emphasized the need for collaboration among Northern to effectively tackle the ‘s security challenges. He called for the development of a unified strategy and plan, alongside the establishment of a Command and Control Centre to coordinate efforts against terrorism, banditry, kidnapping, and other criminal activities.

“We must go beyond the kinetic approach,” Governor Sani stated, for an focus on supporting security forces and improving localized intelligence systems. He highlighted the importance of stimulating investment, developing agriculture and agri-business, expanding rural , and broadening to education and healthcare as crucial steps in combating insecurity. Additionally, he stressed the need to community engagement and promote inclusivity among all citizens.
