France’s Government Pursues Urgent Laws in Light of Budget Stalemate

France is in a serious fiscal crisis as it nears the end of the year without a ratified budget for 2026. The government’s attempts to finalize the budget have encountered significant hurdles, prompting the introduction of emergency legislation to avert a government shutdown.
