A tragic drive-by shooting occurred outside Artis Restaurant and Lounge in Chicago’s River North , in four fatalities and fourteen injuries. The incident unfolded around 11 p.m. during an album release party for rapper Mello Buckzz.

As attendees were the venue, a dark-colored approached the and opened fire, striking eighteen . The victims, between 21 and 32, included two and two women who were pronounced dead at the scene. Among the injured, three were reported to be in condition. The shooter(s) fled immediately, and no arrests have been made.

Rapper Mello Buckzz, whose name is Melanie Doyle, was performing at the event. She expressed her grief on media, stating, “My heart broke into so many pieces.”

Chicago Superintendent Larry Snelling condemned the attack as a “cowardly act” and emphasized that it was not random. Authorities are reviewing footage and seeking public assistance to the suspects.
