The FBI has released images of a person of interest in the fatal shooting of conservative activist Charlie Kirk at Utah Valley University on September 10, 2025. During his address to approximately 3,000 attendees, Kirk was shot in the neck by an individual believed to be college-aged, who fired from a rooftop and then fled the scene. A nationwide manhunt is underway.

To aid in identifying the suspect, the FBI has shared surveillance images of a male in a black long-sleeve shirt, dark pants, sunglasses, and a cap. They are offering a reward of up to $100,000 for information leading to the shooter’s identification and arrest. Authorities have recovered a high-powered bolt-action rifle thought to be the weapon used in the incident, along with a palm print, shoe impression, and forearm imprints for analysis. As of now, the shooter remains at large, and the motive for the attack is still undetermined.
