A tragic incident occurred on Île d’Oléron, France, when a motorist deliberately drove into pedestrians and cyclists, injuring nine individuals, two critically. The attacks spanned two towns, initiating immediate emergency responses, including helicopter transports for the severely injured to Poitiers. The suspect, a 35-year-old man from La Cotinière, has a criminal history and has been arrested and is under investigation for attempted murder.
