Delta State Governor Sheriff Oborevwori has extended warm felicitations to Muslim faithful in the state and across Nigeria on the occasion of Eid-el-Fitr, celebrating the successful completion of the holy month of Ramadan.
In a statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Festus Ahon, in Asaba, Governor Oborevwori congratulated Muslims for their devotion, sacrifice, and adherence to the spiritual values of Islam during the fasting and prayer period. He described Ramadan as a time for deep reflection, self-discipline, compassion, and renewed faith, urging citizens to carry these virtues forward beyond the holy month for the benefit of society.
The governor emphasised the importance of peaceful coexistence, unity, and tolerance among people of different religious and ethnic backgrounds. He also called on Nigerians to pray for the continued peace, ility, and progress of the nation, highlighting that collective efforts and mutual understanding are key to overcoming current socio-economic challenges.
Wishing Muslims a joyous and peaceful Eid celebration, Oborevwori assured Deltans of his administration’s commitment to inclusive governance, infrastructural development, and the welfare of all citizens, consistent with his M.O.R.E Agenda. He further urged residents to celebrate responsibly and continue to support initiatives aimed at building a safer, stronger, and more prosperous Delta State.
