Indian all-rounder Deepti Sharma has made history by becoming the top-ranked bowler in the ICC Women’s T20I rankings for the first time. This achievement comes after her impressive performance in the opening T20I against Sri Lanka, where she bowled economically, taking 1 wicket for 20 runs in 4 overs, helping India clinch an eight-wicket victory. Her rise to the top spot involved surpassing Australia’s Annabel Sutherland, who held the ranking since August. With a narrow one-point lead over Sutherland, Sharma’s latest performance highlights the competitive nature of the rankings.
