The Executive Director of Commercial Operations at Dangote Group, Fatima Aliko-Dangote, has reaffirmed the conglomerate’s commitment to partnerships that promote industrialisation, reduce import dependence, create jobs, and drive shared prosperity.
Aliko-Dangote, represented by Regional Sales Director Lagos, Tunde Mabogunje, spoke during Dangote Day at the 15th Gateway Trade Fair organised by the Ogun Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (OGUNCCIMA) in Abeokuta. The event, themed “Promoting Businesses through Partnership,” aligns with Dangote Group’s core values and Vision 2030 roadmap.
As a lead sponsor, Dangote Industries aims to deepen commerce, strengthen value chains, and open markets for manufacturers, MSMEs, and consumers across the region. “Our long-term investments in Ogun State underscore our belief in the State’s competitiveness and the power of public–private collaboration,” she said.
Aliko-Dangote highlighted key investments, including the Ibese cement plant with 12 million metric tonnes per annum capacity and an additional 6 million metric tonnes per annum integrated cement plant under construction at Itori. In energy, the Dangote Petroleum Refinery plans to expand from 650,000 bpd to 1.4 million bpd within three years to bolster regional energy security and create jobs.
The conglomerate is also collaborating with Ethiopian Investment Holdings on a $2.5bn Urea fertiliser complex in Gode, designed for 3 million metric tonnes per annum to support agriculture and regional exports.
During the fair, visitors to the Dangote Pavilion can purchase cement, sugar, salt, fertiliser, rice, Sinotrucks, and other products at discounted prices. Aliko-Dangote emphasised investing in people, technology, and sustainability while building local capabilities that meet global standards.
OGUNCCIMA Chairman Niyi Oshiyemi praised Dangote Group’s support, noting that public–private partnerships are key to industrialisation, infrastructure development, and economic diversification.
