In 1976, Mangione’s composition “Chase The Clouds Away” was featured at the Summer Olympics in Montreal, showcasing his ability to create music that resonated on a global stage. The following year, he composed “Give It All You Got” for the 1980 Winter Olympics in Lake Placid, further cementing his status as a composer of note.
Beyond his musical achievements, Mangione made notable appearances in television and film. He had a recurring role as himself on the animated series “King of the Hill,” where he humorously portrayed a celebrity spokesman for the fictional Mega Lo Mart.
