Tragic news has emerged out of Statesville, North Carolina. NASCAR legend Greg Biffle, his wife Cristina, and their children, daughter Emma and son Ryder, have died in a plane crash earlier today when the private jet they were travelling in crashed at Statesville Regional Airport.

According to multiple reports, the business jet owned by Biffle went down while attempting to land just before 10:30 a.m. local time, erupting into flames and killing all on board.

The crash has sent shockwaves through the racing community and beyond. Biffle 55, a celebrated former NASCAR driver and champion was known for his competitive success on the track and his larger-than-life presence off it.
