Bob Myers takes on president role at Harris Blitzer Sports & Entertainment after departing from ESPN.

Bob Myers, former general manager and president of the Golden State Warriors, has been appointed president of Harris Blitzer Sports & Entertainment (HBSE). This marks his return to sports management after a stint as an NBA analyst for ESPN.

In his new role, Myers will oversee HBSE’s sports portfolio, which includes the Philadelphia 76ers (NBA), New Jersey Devils (NHL), Crystal Palace (Premier League), and Joe Gibbs Racing (NASCAR). He will also maintain an advisory position with Josh Harris, managing partner of the Washington Commanders (NFL).

During his 12 years with the Warriors, Myers was instrumental in building teams that won four NBA championships. His achievements earned him the NBA Executive of the Year award in both 2015 and 2017. In 2024, he served as an advisor to Harris on organizational development for the Commanders, aiding in the hiring of General Manager Adam Peters and Head Coach Dan Quinn. His extensive experience in team building is expected to bolster HBSE’s ability to field championship-caliber teams.

Myers expressed enthusiasm for his new role, praising Harris and co-founder David Blitzer for their impressive sports portfolio. He highlighted the opportunity to work with various sports franchises as a significant draw. Harris and Blitzer welcomed Myers warmly, underscoring his capability as a champion team architect.

This appointment represents a strategic expansion for HBSE, aimed at leveraging Myers’ expertise to enhance its standing across multiple major sports leagues.
