Black Sabbath’s Final Concert Film ‘Back to the Beginning’ Set for 2026 Release

Black Sabbath‘s monumental farewell concert, “Back to the Beginning,” held on July 5, 2025, at Villa Park in Birmingham, England, is set to be immortalized in a 100-minute concert film titled “Back to the Beginning: Ozzy’s Final Bow.”

Scheduled for theatrical release in early 2026, the film will offer fans an intimate look at the band‘s historic performance, capturing the raw energy and emotion of their final live show.
The concert marked the first time in 20 years that the original lineup—Ozzy Osbourne, Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler, and Bill Ward—reunited on stage. Despite Osbourne’s ongoing battle with Parkinson’s disease, which required him to perform seated, the event was a testament to the band’s enduring influence on the heavy metal genre. The film will feature electrifying renditions of iconic tracks such as “War Pigs,” “Iron Man,” “Children of the Grave,” and the show-stopping “Paranoid.”

Hosted by Jason Momoa, the event also showcased performances from a stellar lineup of artists, including Metallica, Guns N’ Roses, Ronnie Wood, Steven Tyler of Aerosmith, Slayer, Pantera, Tool, Yungblud, Papa V/Ghost, and a memorable drum-off featuring Tool’s Danny Carey, Blink-182’s Travis Barker, and the Red Hot Chili Peppers’ Chad Smith. This diverse array of talent paid homage to Black Sabbath’s profound impact on the music industry.

The concert was not only a musical celebration but also a charitable endeavor. Proceeds from the event, totaling £140 million, were donated to Acorns Children’s Hospice, Birmingham Children’s Hospital, and Cure Parkinson’s, reflecting the band’s commitment to giving back to the community that supported them throughout their career.

Following its theatrical release, “Back to the Beginning: Ozzy’s Final Bow” will be available for home viewing later in 2026, allowing fans worldwide to experience this historic event.
