Ben Nwoye Declares Bid For APC Deputy National Chairman South

Former Caretaker Committee Chairman of the All Progressives Congress in Enugu State, Ben Nwoye, has officially declared his intention to contest for the position of Deputy National Chairman South at the party’s upcoming national convention.

Nwoye made the announcement during a telephone interview on Sunday where he also unveiled members of his campaign structure ahead of the internal party election. According to him the campaign team has already begun mobilising support across the country particularly within the southern region.

As part of the campaign structure Timothy Amah has been appointed as Director General. Nwoye also disclosed that directors have been assigned to coordinate campaign activities across the six geopolitical zones including dedicated teams for youth and women mobilisation.

The former Enugu APC chairman stated that the campaign office has already been opened in Abuja where strategic meetings and mobilisation efforts will be coordinated. He emphasised that the campaign’s primary goal is to strengthen the party structure and prepare the party for future electoral victories.

According to Nwoye his ambition is motivated by a desire to build a stronger political network for the APC across Southern Nigeria. He added that his team plans to mobilise party members and stakeholders in the region to ensure the continued success of the party at both national and state levels.

He also expressed commitment to supporting the re election of Bola Ahmed Tinubu and other candidates of the APC in future elections. Nwoye urged party leaders and stakeholders across the southern states to join hands with his team to build what he described as a formidable political structure.

The APC chieftain revealed that he and his supporters will soon obtain the party’s nomination forms to formally begin the race for the national leadership position.

Nwoye highlighted his experience within the party noting that he has served in several leadership roles including Secretary of the Forum of APC State Chairmen. He also pointed to his tenure as caretaker committee chairman in Enugu State where he said he helped ilise the party and oversaw peaceful internal processes.

The All Progressives Congress is expected to hold its national convention later this year to elect new members of its National Working Committee.
