Ayra Starr and Tyla Confirmed as Performers for 2025 Global Citizen Festival

The 2025 Global Citizen Festival is set to take place on September 27 at Central Park’s Great Lawn in New York City, featuring an impressive lineup of artists committed to social change. Headlining the event are The Weeknd and Shakira, with performances by Tyla, Ayra Starr, and Mariah the Scientist. The festival will be hosted by actor Hugh Jackman, marking his eleventh year as a Global Citizen Ambassador.

This year’s festival focuses on three key humanitarian goals:

Goal 1: Provide energy access for 1 million people across Africa.

Goal 2: Mobilize $200 million to protect 30 million hectares of the Amazon rainforest.

Tickets to the festival are free and can be earned by taking action on these issues via the Global Citizen app or at globalcitizenfestival.com.

Tyla, a South African artist, gained international recognition with her Grammy Award-winning single “Water,” which became a global hit. Her participation in the festival underscores her rising prominence in the music industry.

Ayra Starr, a Nigerian singer, has been making waves with her chart-topping hits like “Rush.” Known for her unique style and powerful vocals, she represents the new wave of African artists gaining global acclaim.
