The 2025 Global Citizen Festival is set to take place on September 27 at Central ‘s Great Lawn in New , featuring an impressive of artists committed to social change. Headlining the are The Weeknd and Shakira, with performances by Tyla, Ayra Starr, and Mariah the Scientist. The festival will be hosted by Hugh Jackman, marking his eleventh year as a Global Citizen .

This year’s festival focuses on key humanitarian goals:

Goal 1: energy access for 1 million people across Africa.

Goal 2: Mobilize $200 million to protect 30 million hectares of the Amazon rainforest.
