Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has expressed unwavering support for Bukayo Saka, saying the club “fully trust and love” the England winger despite an underwhelming season. The 24-year-old, a key ing figure for the Gunners in recent years, signed a new long-term contract at the Emirates last month.

Saka’s current campaign has been below his usual standards, with just nine goals and seven assists in 39 appearances across all competitions. One of those goals came in last week’s crucial 1-0 Premier League win at Brighton, a result that helped Arsenal extend their lead at the top of the table.

Speaking at a pre-match press conference ahead of Saturday’s home game against Everton, Arteta strongly defended the forward. “We fully trust him and love him,” the Spaniard said. “What he’s doing for us, for this club, is just incredible at his age, and he’s continued to have that massive impact for us. He can have an individual performance that is not probably a reflection of his level, like every human, every player in the world.”

Arteta highlighted Saka’s overall contribution to the team, noting the winger’s energy and influence on Arsenal’s style of play. The manager also emphasized that despite a comfortable seven-point lead over second-placed Manchester City, Arsenal must “earn” the Premier League title, focusing on every game as a “massive step towards the objective.”

Arsenal’s title push remains on track as the team targets a unique quadruple this season, with Arteta stressing the importance of maintaining focus and improving collectively.
