Ward chairmen of the All Progressives Congress APC in the AMAC Bwari Federal Constituency have endorsed House of Representatives aspirant Sarah Ivie Adidi, while warning politicians against abandoning grassroots supporters after elections.

The show of support took place during an interactive meeting in Abuja, where Adidi met with all 22 APC ward chairmen in the constituency. She outlined her plans to tackle key issues such as insecurity, limited access to quality education, and rising youth unemployment, promising to prioritise these concerns if elected.

“I consider the ward chairmen as the cornerstone of this project. Their closeness to the people makes them vital partners in our collective effort to reposition AMAC Bwari for progress,” Adidi said. She also announced a ward to ward tour to engage directly with residents and better understand their challenges.

Adidi pledged a leadership style that is visible and accountable, focusing on improving security, expanding education, and creating real opportunities for young people through ss and jobs.

In response, the ward chairmen welcomed her engagement and promised their support, but stressed the importance of remaining connected to ward structures even after elections. “Don’t abandon us,” they warned, highlighting a pattern where politicians often ignore the grassroots after securing power and bring in outsiders instead.

The chairmen noted that Adidi is the first aspirant to meet directly with all 22 ward leaders, calling it a positive sign. They advised her to make realistic promises, reminding her that support would depend on actions taken and relationships maintained after the elections are won.

The endorsement underscores early political alignments in AMAC Bwari ahead of 2027 and reflects the growing influence of ward structures in shaping electoral outcomes.
