Amaechi Praises Atiku’s Political Presence in Nigeria

Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi, former transportation minister and ex-governor of Rivers State, has paid tribute to Atiku Abubakar, describing him as a rare constant in Nigeria’s turbulent political landscape. According to Amaechi, Atiku’s enduring dedication to democratic principles and national development distinguishes him from many of his peers.

In a message commemorating Atiku’s 79th birthday, Amaechi emphasized that the occasion is not merely a celebration of age, but a recognition of a legacy that has profoundly influenced Nigeria’s political trajectory.

Reflecting on Atiku’s formative years in the Nigerian Customs Service, Amaechi noted his pivotal role in rallying pro-democracy movements during the 1980s and 1990s.
