The semi-finalists for the TotalEnergies CAF Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) Morocco 2025 have been confirmed following a thrilling quarter-final weekend. Egypt, Nigeria, Morocco, and Senegal emerged as the last four teams after a series of intense matches on Saturday night.

Hosts Morocco will face Nigeria at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium in Rabat, while Senegal will take on Egypt at the Grand Stade de Tanger in Tanger. Both semi-final fixtures are scheduled for Wednesday.

Seven-time champions Egypt sealed their spot with a 3-2 victory over defending champions Cote d’Ivoire in a dramatic clash, ending the Elephants’ title defence and setting up a high-stakes encounter with Senegal.

Senegal had earlier booked their place after a narrow 1-0 win against Mali in a tense West African derby, with Iliman Ndiaye’s first-half strike proving decisive as the Teranga Lions held on to their lead.

Hosts Morocco maintained their impressive run with a 2-0 win over Cameroon in Rabat. Goals from Brahim Diaz and Ismaël Saibari showcased the Atlas Lions’ attacking prowess and defensive solidity.

Nigeria completed the semi-final quartet with a 2-0 win over Algeria in Marrakech. Victor Osimhen opened the scoring, and Akor Adams sealed the victory late, setting up a blockbuster semi-final against Morocco.

The quarter-finals highlighted the importance of experience, composure, and pedigree, with decisive moments proving crucial in all matches. The AFCON 2025 final is scheduled for January 18 in Rabat.
