Tragic Fire Outbreak Claims Four Lives at Olodi Apapa Lounge in Lagos

A devastating fire broke out in the early hours of Sunday, October 13, at a popular lounge and bar located on Baale Road in the Olodi Apapa area of Lagos. The fire, which started around 7:45 am, claimed the lives of at least four staff members, who were burnt beyond recognition in the tragic incident.

Lagos State Police spokesperson, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, confirmed the incident, stating that the victims’ remains have been evacuated to the Infectious Disease Hospital (IDH) Morgue in Yaba for an autopsy. The police, alongside emergency responders, were on the scene to contain the fire and ensure the area was secure.

The cause of the fire has not yet been determined, but investigations are currently underway to ascertain the events that led to the tragedy. The lounge and bar, a popular spot within the community, was reduced to ashes as the fire rapidly spread, leaving significant damage to the property and surrounding structures.
