APC Criticizes Rotimi Amaechi for Incitement Over Economic Situation

The All Progressives (APC) has criticized of , Rotimi Amaechi, for comments made during an interview with ABN TV that allegedly incited public regarding Nigeria’s economic challenges. Amaechi, who previously served as the governor of State, expressed his dissatisfaction with the lack of visible public response to the nation’s economic difficulties, especially from the youth.

During the interview, Amaechi lamented the rising cost of , escalating fuel prices, and other economic pressures that have plagued Nigerians. He expressed and disappointment at the subdued reaction from citizens, that he had more significant protests and demonstrations against the worsening conditions. In response, the APC issued a sharp rebuke through National Publicity , Felix Morka. In a statement titled “Rotimi Amaechi, Inciting Anarchy Is Irresponsible and Unpatriotic,” Morka condemned the former minister’s remarks as both “irresponsible” and “unpatriotic.” The APC accused Amaechi of to incite chaos and public unrest at a time when the is striving to address economic challenges and stabilize the situation.

The ruling party emphasized that such statements from a political figure of Amaechi’s stature are unhelpful and could undermine the government’s to implement aimed at easing the economic burden on Nigerians.
