Veteran Nigerian producer and music executive ID Cabasa has encouraged Christian creatives not to avoid careers in the secular music industry due to claims that it is ungodly.

The Coded Tunes boss dismissed such beliefs as misleading, arguing that they are often used to discourage Christians from exploring opportunities in mainstream entertainment. According to him, the notion that the secular music space is controlled by negative forces is not accurate.

In a message shared on his X platform, Cabasa stressed that while wrongdoing exists in the world, it does not define entire industries. He maintained that creatives with strong values can still thrive and make a positive impact regardless of the environment.

Cabasa emphasized that faith driven individuals should not withdraw from influential spaces but instead bring their values and perspectives into them. He suggested that the absence of positive influence is what allows negative elements to flourish.

The producer further encouraged Christian artists, songwriters, and creatives to see their work as a platform for expression and impact, rather than soing to be avoided. He noted that the world needs more voices that promote light, purpose, and integrity.

His remarks have sparked conversations within the entertainment and faith communities about the role of religion in creative industries and the balance between personal beliefs and professional pursuits.

Cabasa concluded by reassuring creatives that their presence and values can stand firm, regardless of the challenges within the industry.
