Osiyemi said all adjoining roads, junctions, and intersections along the race routes will be closed from 12:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., with intermittent reopenings as the marathon progresses. Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) and other security agencies will manage traffic and prevent unauthorized access to the race corridors.

Residents have been urged to plan ahead, use alternative routes, and consider other modes of transportation, while exercising patience during the temporary closures. The marathon, a major annual sporting event in Lagos, continues to attract local and international participants.
