Morocco latest labor data shows unemployment rates declined slightly overall but revealed uneven trends across age and gender groups, according to figures discussed by officials on February 2. While joblessness eased among urban adults, youth unemployment and regional disparities remain persistent challenges.

Economists noted that gains were driven by services and agriculture while manufacturing job growth remained limited. Women and young people continued to face higher barriers to employment, particularly in urban centers.

The government said labor market reforms and vocational training programs are being expanded to address structural gaps. Analysts said sustained investment and private sector growth will be key to achieving inclusive employment gains.
