Chinese automobile brand Jetour has appointed W Motors as its official distributor in Nigeria in a move that marks a major expansion into the African market. The partnership was unveiled at a launch event in Lagos, where the companies highlighted their commitment to delivering vehicles that combine global innovation with local expertise.
As part of the collaboration, Jetour Nigeria officially introduced the Jetour G700, a luxury hybrid all terrain SUV designed for both city and off road driving. The vehicle features a 2.0 litre turbocharged engine with two electric motors producing a combined output of 904 horsepower and 1,135 Newton meters of torque. It accelerates from zero to 100 kilometers per hour in 4.6 seconds and offers a driving range of 800 to 1,000 kilometers. The G700 can also handle a wading depth of 900 millimeters and comes with seven intelligent off road driving modes.
The six seater cabin is equipped with massage seats, a healthy air system, multi screen intelligent cockpit, four screen interaction and a Snapdragon powered voice control system. The design blends luxury and technology to meet the needs of Nigerian drivers.
Jetour Vice President Yuan Anguo said Nigeria is a strategic market for the company and the partnership with W Motors reflects a long term commitment to the country. He added that Jetour plans to introduce a pickup model in Nigeria in the near future.
W Motors Chief Executive Officer Wadih Nasrallah assured customers of strong after sales support. He highlighted a reliable spare parts supply system, trained technical personnel and a customer focused service structure. He also confirmed that the G700 comes with a seven year unlimited mileage warranty which is the first of its kind in Africa.
The launch of Jetour G700 positions the brand as a key player in Nigeria’s automotive industry and offers consumers a premium option in the hybrid SUV segment.
