APC Chairman Praises Tinubu Diplomacy Says Foreign Engagements Attract Over 50 Billion Dollars Investment

The National Chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress APC Professor Nentawe Yilwatda has commended President Bola Tinubu for what he described as strategic and result driven international diplomacy that is already yielding major economic benefits for Nigeria.

Yilwatda disclosed that the presidents sustained foreign engagements have secured more than 50 billion dollars in Foreign Direct Investment commitments, countering claims that the frequent overseas trips are ceremonial or excessive.

In a statement issued on Tuesday in Abuja through his Special Adviser on Media and Communications Strategy Abimbola Tooki the APC chairman said President Tinubus diplomatic outreach has successfully repositioned Nigeria as an attractive destination for global capital.

According to him the presidents meetings with key international partners reflect a clear commitment to advancing Nigerias economic interests and unlocking long term prosperity for citizens.

Since assuming office in May 2023 President Tinubu has embarked on several high level diplomatic missions across Africa Europe the Middle East Asia and the Americas. Yilwatda noted that these visits targeted major global economies including the United States China Germany India and Saudi Arabia.

He explained that the engagements are already translating into concrete investment commitments in critical sectors such as energy manufacturing agriculture and technology. He stressed that these commitments go beyond paper agreements and are expected to drive job creation technology transfer and economic growth.

Yilwatda also highlighted the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement signed with the United Arab Emirates describing it as a landmark initiative aimed at strengthening bilateral trade cooperation in energy and infrastructure development.

Responding to domestic criticism over the presidents travel schedule the APC chairman argued that focusing solely on travel costs ignores the significant long term economic returns being negotiated for the country.

He called on Nigerians to support the administrations reform agenda noting that President Tinubu has demonstrated vision courage and determination in pursuing policies needed to transform the national economy.

Yilwatda reaffirmed the commitment of the APC to ensuring that Nigerias growing global partnerships result in shared prosperity improved livelihoods and sustainable job opportunities for all citizens.
