Adani Defence Signs Cooperation Agreement With Brazil’s Embraer on Aircraft Development

India’s Adani Defence and Aerospace signed a memorandum of understanding with Brazil’s Embraer on January 29 2026 to cooperate on the development of an aircraft manufacturing and maintenance ecosystem in India. The agreement was signed in New Delhi during meetings attended by government and industry officials from both countries.

The partnership focuses on expanding collaboration in military transport aircraft systems maintenance repair and overhaul and potential future platform development. Officials said the cooperation supports India’s goal of strengthening domestic defence manufacturing under its self reliance initiatives.

Adani Defence stated that the agreement will help transfer technical expertise create skilled jobs and build long term industrial capabilities within India’s aerospace sector. Embraer said the partnership reflects its commitment to expanding its presence in India and supporting regional defence and civil aviation needs.

Government representatives welcomed the agreement describing it as a step toward deeper strategic and industrial ties between India and Brazil. They added that international collaboration remains critical to advancing advanced manufacturing and innovation.
