The Nigeria (NLC) has deep concerns over the recent hike in , arguing that the has effectively nullified the of the implemented minimum wage. NLC President Joe Ajaero described the as dire, highlighting the severe impact the price is having on the purchasing power of workers.

Ajaero noted that the rising cost of fuel has to skyrocketing prices of goods and services, workers unable to enjoy the benefits of wage increase. He stressed that many Nigerians, particularly those in the lower- brackets, are struggling to cope with the rapidly cost of living.
