Akeel Abdul Jamiel, an Iraqi national, charged on Friday with illegally in the 2020 . presidential . The charge was in a statement by the U.S. Attorney’s for the Northern of New York.

According to the statement, U.S. Attorney A. Sarcone III, along with from the Federal Bureau of (FBI) and Homeland (HSI), made the announcement. Jamiel, who was not a U.S. citizen, allegedly a ballot in Saratoga County, New York, during the November 2020 election.

The charge is an accusation, and Jamiel is presumed innocent unless proven guilty. The offense carries a maximum sentence of one in and a fine of to $100,000.
