The caretaker chairman of APGA in Osun State, Wole Adedoyin, has said Governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo of Anambra wants Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun to join APGA.

Adedoyin spoke to reporters at the weekend. He called the move a positive step that could boost cooperative leadership between the South East and the South West.

Adeleke left the PDP and is seeking re-election. He has not yet declared which party he will run under. Earlier efforts to join the APC were blocked by party leaders in his state.

Adedoyin said Soludo, after winning re-election, has pushed for a wider group of leaders who focus on people and service. He added that Adeleke’s style, his appeal with voters, and his ties to local communities match APGA’s approach.

The Osun APGA leader said the idea that Adeleke might move to APGA shows growing respect for the party’s development goals. He said APGA is open to leaders who put citizens first rather than party politics.

Adedoyin said Senator Adeleke would fit well in APGA if he chooses to join. He also said Soludo’s invitation highlights the need for better regional cooperation and could lead to stronger ties between states. The chairman described the potential partnership between the two governors as a chance to improve work across state borders.
