Huawei closed its participation in the first MWC25 Doha with a focus on how 5G‑Advanced paired with artificial intelligence is changing digital services across the Middle East. The two‑day event at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Center gathered government officials, network operators and sector experts to discuss next steps for connected services.

In his keynote, titled “Empowering Middle Eastern Digital Visions with 5G-A x AI,” Richard Liu described the fast pace of technical progress. He said, “The synergy between 5G-Advanced and AI is reshaping the global industry landscape at an unprecedented pace.” Liu also noted that, soon after rollouts began, 5G‑Advanced supported more than 60,000 enterprise private networks and is projected to add about $2.8 trillion in economic value by 2025.

Liu pointed out that operators in the Middle East are moving quickly to adopt 5G‑Advanced and AI. He said early results include 30–40% gains in network energy efficiency where AI has been used. The region already hosts over ten practical intelligent application cases that show the technology’s real benefits.

The talk highlighted three main areas of change. First, new business approaches with service tiers and tailored solutions that can raise average revenue per user. Second, smarter services where AI agents handle up to 80% of routine user scenarios using voice and cloud responses. Third, infrastructure upgrades such as all‑optical networks with 10GE access, and higher automation in operations and maintenance, with automation rates reaching around 40%.
