Kylian Mbappé showcased an extraordinary performance, scoring all four goals in Real Madrid’s thrilling 4-3 victory over Olympiacos in Piraeus. This match marked a historical milestone for Real Madrid, as it was their first win against Olympiacos in Greece, ending a four-match winless streak in previous visits.

The game started with Olympiacos taking an early lead in the 8th minute when Chiquinho seized a team move to score from 20 yards. Real Madrid quickly retaliated, with Mbappé netting his first goal in the 22nd minute off a brilliant through ball from Vinícius Júnior. Just two minutes later, he headed in a cross from Arda Güler, putting Madrid ahead. Mbappé completed a remarkable hat-trick by the 29th minute, achieving the second-fastest hat-trick in Champions League history at just 6 minutes and 42 seconds.

In the second half, Olympiacos attempted a comeback, with substitute Mehdi Taremi scoring in the 52nd minute, following an injury to Chiquinho. However, Mbappé extended Real Madrid’s lead with his fourth goal in the 60th minute, courtesy of another excellent play by Vinícius Júnior. Ayoub El Kaabi later scored for Olympiacos, but Real Madrid held on for the win.

This victory was crucial for Real Madrid, snapping a three-match winless streak and positioning them fifth in the Champions League standings with 12 points, doing well for knockout stage prospects. Coach Xabi Alonso praised the team’s composure and highlighted Mbappé’s leadership. With this performance, Mbappé became the top scorer in the Champions League, underscoring his importance to Real Madrid’s success.
