APC Governors Pledge Support for Tinubu’s Security Plan, Uzodimma Says

Governor Hope Uzodimma of Imo, speaking as Chairman of the Progressives Governors’ Forum, restated the APC governors’ backing for President Bola Tinubu’s drive to tackle insecurity across Nigeria.

In a statement released by his Media Office in Abuja, Uzodimma said security is a shared duty that needs close cooperation between the federal and state governments. He led an APC governors’ delegation to Kebbi to show solidarity with the president and to confirm the governors’ readiness to support federal actions to protect citizens and restore order.

Uzodimma praised the efforts of military and security personnel who are working to keep people and property safe. He also welcomed steps to sharpen the use of intelligence, speed up responses to incidents, and improve cooperation between civil authorities and the armed forces.

He stressed that lasting peace will require both strong security measures and long-term social and economic programs. The governor pledged that APC-led states will work with the Tinubu administration to apply policies at the local level and to share successful approaches among states.
