Kylian Mbappé has reached a significant milestone in his football career, scoring 400 goals at the age of 26 years and 328 days. This accomplishment makes him the youngest player in the 21st century to achieve this feat, surpassing legends Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo, who reached 400 goals at 27 years and 95 days, and 28 years and 335 days, respectively. Mbappé’s milestone goal was scored during a World Cup qualifier on November 13, 2025, where France triumphed over Ukraine 4-0; he scored twice in that match, helping secure France’s qualification for the 2026 World Cup.

Despite this remarkable achievement, Mbappé humbly believes that reaching 400 goals is merely a stepping stone, stating, “400 goals don’t impress people. I want to make my mark in football history, so I have to score at least 400 more.” He also noted Cristiano Ronaldo’s ambition of reaching 1,000 goals, calling it “unreal,” yet he recognizes the value of striving for ambitious goals.

Mbappé’s impact extends beyond club football, as he has also been a key player for the French national team, netting 55 international goals. He is just two goals shy of matching Olivier Giroud’s record of 57 goals for France. His leadership, scoring ability, and relentless determination have made him a pivotal figure as France prepares for the upcoming World Cup.
