In a significant security breach during Beyoncé’s “Cowboy Carter” tour, unreleased music and sensitive materials were stolen from a rental vehicle in Atlanta on July 8, 2025. The vehicle, a black Jeep Wagoneer, was parked at the Krog Street Market parking deck when thieves forcibly entered and took two suitcases containing five thumb drives. These drives held watermarked music, unreleased tracks, show footage plans, and set lists for upcoming performances.

The theft occurred just days before Beyoncé’s four-night residency at Atlanta’s Mercedes-Benz Stadium, part of her ongoing tour promoting the Grammy-winning album “Cowboy Carter.” In addition to the music files, personal items such as laptops, designer clothing, sunglasses, and headphones were also reported stolen.

Atlanta police have initiated an investigation into the incident. Surveillance footage from the parking deck captured the break-in, and authorities have identified a red 2025 Hyundai Elantra as a suspect vehicle. An arrest warrant has been issued, though the suspect’s identity remains undisclosed.

This incident underscores the challenges artists face in safeguarding sensitive materials during tours. Beyoncé’s team has not publicly commented on the theft, and the investigation is ongoing.
